Realkteck Pce Family Controller Drivers

Hi gus. A few days a go I got a new motherboard. It is the as rock z77 pro 4. It's been fine for 3days but this morning I woke up. Turned computer on and my computer wouldn't conmect to the Internet. I use an Ethernet cable for direct connection. On the bottom right of the screen I right clicked the Internet button thing with a cross over it and clicked troubleshoot and it says:
The real tek PCIe GBE family controller adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems.
If I then right click the Realtek PCIe under network adapters and go advanced it's says : this device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device but If I click update it had the later driver
Any reason why my internet isn't working? Reckon it's a faulty motherboard? Any help would be greatly appreciated
